You Are The Best

Lately, I've been getting in my old habit of watching dramas upon dramas. I guess it's because the internet in the house is finally fixed. lol.

Anyways, last year, I started the Korean drama You Are The Best Lee Soon Shin. I got through the first 32 episodes, then wasn't able to watch more until recently. After two weeks of hardcore watching, I finally finished the series!

When I started the first episode last year, I was immediately interested in the storyline. I tend to enjoy dramas that deal with people becoming actresses for some reason and I also enjoy a love story. I was hooked. After I got about 10 episodes in, I honestly debated dropping the series. My main reason was due to the fact that it was kind of hard for me to enjoy the show at that point, since there was just so much in the way of the family being emo. I completely understand why, but after two episodes of emo-ness, it's hard for me to want to watch more; however, for some reason, I decided to keep watching the series and... I'm really glad that I did, because once the large portion of emo-ness in the series, it got incredibly good. Also, the episodes that I didn't care for got me to understand that this story is more than just a girl becoming an actress and winning the guy. It was a story about all kinds of relationships. I found myself wanting to know more about each family member and every single character in general.

Since it was a long time since I watched the episodes, I decided to do a major drama fest. I re-watched the first 32 episodes to refresh myself and then continued to watch the rest of the series. It was a long road, but it was well worth every bit. I felt that every character was covered incredibly well and the ending was suitable. I surprised myself for actually watching a drama with 50 episodes. I do enjoy k-dramas, but I'm so used to j-dramas that if it's over 13 episodes in a season, I get irritated about length. lol.

So~ I highly, HIGHLY recommend this drama.
